What Shift is
A headset, your own work, paid per hour.
- The work
- Shift pays you to record the everyday work you already do. That footage trains AI and robotics systems.
- The headset
- You wear a headset we send you. It films from your point of view, hands-free, and it does not change how you work.
- The pay
- £20 an hour for work you film at your workplace. A video classed as filmed in a home is still paid, but at a much lower rate. Paid through the app, added to your account as soon as each video is accepted.
- Your privacy
- Faces and personal details are blurred automatically. Audio is off by default.

- Hands-on work in a home is still taken, but at a much lower rate
- The work you already do, filmed as you do it
- Whole tasks, start to finish
What we can’t take
- Videos of you talking to camera about your day
- Work that Shift sends you. We don’t send out jobs
